Understanding Alexandre Gama

     Born in 1958 in Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Gama is a Brazilian entrepreneur. He is also a creative professional who mainly operates in the industry of communications and advertising. Alexandre is the Chief Executive Officer and the founder of Neogama which is one of Brazil’s top 20 advertising agencies. He is the 1st Brazilian to head an international network of agencies holding the position of Global Creative Officer at BBH. Alexandre Gama is also the only member of the Global Creative Board of Publicis Groupe from Brazil. This is a committee which comprises of 6 creative leaders from all over the world and who are part of the company’s global holding company.

Alexandre Gama studied at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation where he earned his Degree in Advertising and Communications. The advertising career of Alexandre started in 1982 when he joined Standard Ogilvy & Mather and served as a copywriter and creative. Some of other agencies that Gama has worked for include DM9, Almap BBDO and Young & Rubicam. He started Neogama in 1999 after he left Young & Rubicam. Alexandre Gama was the 1st Latin American in 2008 to present a master class during the Cannes Festival held in France. He was also the foreman at the British Foundation’s International Film Jury.
