Louis Chenevert – A Phenomenal CEO

Louis Chenevert is a Canadian enterpriser who holds a bachelor’s degree in Production Management. He is a graduate of HEC Montreal which is an affiliate of the University of Montreal. What’s more, Chenevert holds an honorary doctorate from the same University. Louis Chenevert was named as the eighth chairman of United Technologies on January 1, 2010. He succeeded George David after he retired from his 34 years of serving UTC where he was the CEO for 8 years.

Louis Chenevert has worked in various companies and rose in ranks to hold senior positions because of his excellent performance and dedication towards his work. He previously worked at General Motors for 14 years and became the general production manager. In 1993 he moved to Pratt & Whitney Canada where he became the vice president of operations and later the president of in 1999. Further, Chenevert moved to United Technologies Corporation in 2006 and became Chief Operating Officer.

Another remarkable aspect of the former CEO was that he managed to maintain the company as the market leader in innovation in the aerospace industry. In addition, Louis Chenevert’s success during his tenure stemmed from his background career and knowledge of mastery of the aerospace industry operations.
