Eric Holder’s December Tweet is Dissected by Sujit Choundhry

Sujit Choudhry is a professor of law and international adviser. He is especially knowledgeable in the world of creating democracies and constitutional law, even contributing original studies and research to the subject. Sujit obtained his knowledge of constitutional law from some of the finest universities in the world: he attended Oxford and Harvard. Choudhry is also a writer, frequently contributing to textbooks for schools and books found on shelves everywhere. In Constitutional Democracies in Crisis?, a chapter by Choudhry can be found pertaining to Eric Holder and a particular 2017 tweet.

The tweet was particularly interesting because Eric Holder, the former AG of the United States, mentioned that if Trump fires Robert Mueller, the American peope will decide what to do. Eric Holder is talking about a figurative red line here, not a literal red line outlined by the law.

The tweet continues: “If removed or meaningfully tampered with, there must be mass, popular, peaceful support of both. The American people must be seen and heard – they will ultimately be determinative.”
